About

Lyrarakis Wines is a family-owned winery, established in 1966 on the island of Crete, Greece. The family is dedicated to reviving indigenous, nearly extinct grape varieties of Crete, such as Dafni, Plyto, and Melissaki, crafting wines that showcase their unique character. The winery follows organic cultivation practices, with part of the vineyard certified and part under conversion. Since 2017, the team has been working towards sustainability. All wines are vegan-certified (V-Label EU), while four are organic-certified by DIO, GR-BIO-01. Lyrarakis Winery also applies regenerative cultivation methods, focusing on producing low-intervention, unfiltered wines with minimal sulphite additions, bringing the authentic expression of both grape variety and the distinctive Cretan terroir to your glass.
