"A new story in Beaujolais"
A new winemaker brand on the market, "VieuxBourg - Famille Piron"
After selling out of the "Vins Piron" business venture in 2020, Dominique Piron, the 14th generation of winemakers in the family, has refocused as a simple winemaker, in a new company in Corcelles en Beaujolais, at the Clos du Vieux Bourg, with all the vines of the family estate in Morgon.
The place is beautiful and full of history, the buildings are the old village church with its presbytery. Written traces attest to the existence of this building in the year 900.
A beautiful set of 35 hectares, experience, prestigious appellations, Morgon, Morgon Côte du Py, Chénas, Régnié, Beaujolais Blanc, remarkable terroirs, a unique place to develop and a new brand to establish on the market, this is simply the new story to perpetuate the vineyard of the "Piron Family".
Partners across several markets for over 20 years, it felt natural for us to combine our expertise and share a joint stand at Wine Paris.

Since the beginning of the 20th century, when it was first cultivated, the estate has remained a family-owned place. A heritage that we preserve with pride. Owned by our family since 2012, we take great care of our 7 hectares of vines, driven by a sincere passion and love for our land. We are five – Paul, Danielle, Delphine, Jocelyn, and Stéphane Lardet – united by the same love for wine and nature.
Epicureans at heart, dedicated to giving the best to our land, we named our estate "Le Nid," a meaningful name that symbolizes our unity and our strong determination to preserve it.
Alongside our vineyard manager and our oenologist, whose expertise is invaluable, we have reinvented the methods of winemaking and aging, while staying true to tradition. Together, we infuse new energy, aligned with our values: FAMILY — TERROIR — HEDONISM — AUTHENTICITY.
The Domaine Manoir du Carra is a family vineyard located in Denicé, Beaujolais, in the southern part of Burgundy.
It was founded in 1850, with planted vineyards dating back to 1683.
It all started in 1918 when Jean-Marie Sambardier started at the vineyard as a worker.
His son, Jean Sambardier, had the same position in the vineyard and continued to develop the vineyard of the Manoir du Carra.
It was in 1962, when Mrs Guillot, the former owner, passed away that Jean Sambardier decided to buy the vineyard in order to start his own production. His son, Jean-Noël then took over the vineyard.
The Domaine has worked hard throughout all the years to grow very quality vines in and to make the most quality wines.
Today, Jean-Frédéric and Damien Sambardier follow the family tradition and continue to grow the vineyard.
From 4 hectares in 1962, the vineyard has now over 50 hectares!
Maison P. Ferraud & Fils is first and foremost a story of five generations following in each other’s footsteps over the centuries générations : Philibert, Tony, Antoine, Pierre et Yves-Dominique… with the sole objective from the very beginning : produce high quality wines which combine authenticity with typical character. The wines by Maison P. Ferraud et Fils are recognised all over the world thanks to the transmission of expertise acquired over five generations. Our range of old oak casks still testifies today to this ancestral know-how. We still use our hundred-year-old traditional method of breeding in wooden tuns. Upstream and downstream the production line, we want above all to have partners sharing the same qualitative philosophy as us. We have strong moral contracts with our winemakers, with some of them we got the honor of their production’s exclusivity for more than a century. Since 1882, Maison P. Ferraud & Fils is located in the magnificent Beaujolais’ terroir at Belleville-en-Beaujolais. Over the centuries, several domains and exclusive partnerships came to reinforce the love for this terroir. Thanks to its rich soil such as clay-limestone, granite sandstone, granite, the Beaujolais area gives a beautiful variety of wine. The Gamay Noir variety reigns supreme. This beautiful terroir offers aromatic and fruity wines such as Beaujolais and Beaujolais Villages but also more complex and rich wines with the ten Beaujolais crus : Brouilly, Chiroubles, Chénas, Côte de Brouilly, Fleurie, Juliénas, Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, Régnié, Saint Amour. The white wines made from the Chardonnay grape such as : Mâcon Fuissé, Mâcon Villages, Pouilly Fuissé, Pouilly Vinzelles, Viré Clessé and Saint Véran.
