Co-exhibitor of GRAND CERCLE DES VINS DE BORDEAUX
Château La Marzelle extends over seventeen hectares in a single block on the Upper Terrace of Saint-Émilion, and benefits from an exceptional natural landscape. From this terroir, blessed by nature, comes a wine of renown, distinguished before its time by the "premier cru classé" label.
From 1998 onwards, the Sioen family gave the estate a new boost by carrying out major work on the buildings, renewing the equipment and restructuring the quality of the vineyard, in parallel with its conversion to organic farming.
This constant concern to preserve and restore the ecosystem was formalised in 2020 with the organic certification. The vines here are cultivated like a garden, and biodynamically since 2015.
With our three grape varieties: Merlot (75%), Cabernent Franc (17%) and Cabernent Sauvignon (8%), we produce 4 wines each year.
Cultivation practices that respect the vines and ageing techniques worthy of goldsmiths have produced the results we were hoping for: Château La Marzelle has risen to the level of one of Saint-Emilion's finest Grands Crus Classés.
