L”Astemia is Barolo’s non-conformist winery, where the art of wine and design come together to create a multisensory experience. We bring to the Langhe a unique vision and a disrupting language.

Our first vintage was in 2010. Ever since, we have continued to study and to improve, aiming to become one with our vineyards.

We combine the very best of the past with the techniques of the future, seeking to recreate the magic of these hills in a glass.

When you taste wine, it is important to capture the emotions of the seasons, of time and of the energy of a terroir - year after year, bottle after bottle. Passionate about our wine, we want to share it with whoever is ready to be captivated.

WHO IS L"ASTEMIA?

A driven Piedmontese businesswoman, dynamic even while still, Sandra Vezza loves to think out of the box.

Originally from Levice, in the Alta Langa, Sandra Vezza is the President of a leading food and pharmaceutical company and of the iconic design brand Gufram.

L”Astemia is a declaration of love for her land and a return to her roots, to the times when her grandfather would walk hand in hand with her through vineyards, teaching her the vines’ secrets.

It is also the gamble of a woman who is a teetotaller (“astemia” in Italian), comes from a very different professional background and yet decided to open an unconventional winery in Barolo. Through design and architecture, she creates a surreal and dreamlike poetry which uses the language of storytelling to offer a contemporary reading of an ancestral territory
