Joseph Castan Fine Wine, producer and negociant in Languedoc-Roussillon, is a specialist in Languedoc and Southern Rhône Valley wines. Vianney Castan visits the estates of the South of France in search of producers who, like him, are in love with their terroirs. Joseph Castan Fine Wine finds, produces and vinifies wines from estates that are close to his heart. Today Joseph Castan Fine Wine offers a permanent range of wines from his estates, Château Saint-Jean D'Aumières and Château Saint-Louis La Perdrix, as Vins de Pays (IGP) and AOC wines from the region. These wines are exported to more than 15 countries, mainly in Europe/Eastern Europe, Asia and North America. In 1907, Vianney Castan's great-grandfather, who lived in Lansargues, a small village in the Languedoc, produced his wine. Attached to his wines, he dedicated all his energy to them. In 1956, France knew a cold record. His grandparents lost everything in this "white hell". They bounce back. A final start before the end of the winegrowing activity in the 1970s. The land is sold. In 2007, Vianney and his wife Emilie launched their first wine trading business. They are looking for a name. They found in an attic an old diploma dating back to 1927 which reads ''Grand Diplôme d'Honneur, Old Red Wines, granted to M. Castan Joseph, Lansargues, Montpellier International Exhibition''. The evidence is there: Joseph Castan Fine Wine was born. In 2012, Vianney and his family moved to Château Saint-Jean D'Aumières, a 30-hectare vineyard estate on the Terrasse du Larzac. After an ellipse of three generations, the Castan family finally returns to its winegrowing origins. In 2015, with Château Saint-Louis la Perdrix, they wrote the third act of the Castan saga, this time in Costières de Nîmes.
