A journey into the best Italian wines and charming hospitality. ALLEGRINI, ARNALDO CAPRAI, BELLAVISTA, FEUDI DI SAN GREGORIO, FONTANAFREDDA, FRESCOBALDI, PLANETA, VILLA SANDI: a group of leading Italian wineries whose products faithfully reflect the most prestigious appellations. They have decided to pool their efforts under a shared vision, create synergies and launch a strategic alliance. Strengthened by their similarities in being families with ‘great wine making histories’ and believing in their ‘Italian-ness’ with impassioned enthusiasm and pride, they have pooled their age-old operational experience in the sector and their modern, consolidated skills for the purpose of targeted promotional projects. The stated objective is to open up new, ambitious avenues for Italian quality wine, which, in established as well as emerging markets, exhibits considerable opportunities for reinforcement and growth. This alliance represents a concrete effort to face the challenges of the future together rather than separately, offering to the markets the best production and the finest Italian wine brands, besides an authentic and high level Italian hospitality.
The story of Allegrini is closely tied to that of the classic Valpolicella area, where it has been a protagonist since 1854. The company, born in Fumane, is the result of the intelligence and hard work of Giovanni Allegrini, a simple and straightforward man who built a solid, efficient and innovative agricultural enterprise. In the 1960s, he transformed the old family farm into a successful winery, revolutionizing the winemaking process by focusing on quality over quantity and introducing innovations in the wine and viticulture sector.
After his passing in 1983, his children - Walter, Franco and Marilisa - took over the company, building on their father’s achievements and carrying on his legacy while always honoring the family tradition.
he new course of the company today is represented by Francesco, Giovanni, and Matteo, Franco’s sons who, alongside their cousin Silvia, passionately continue the work initiated first by their grandfather and then by their parents.
With over 150 hectares of vineyards, Allegrini continues its growth thanks to the family’s dedication to viticulture and wine, a bond destined to endure over time.
The winery was founded in 1971 by Arnaldo Caprai in Montefalco in Umbria. In 1988 the company passed into the hands of Marco Caprai. The incredible value and strong character of the native Montefalco Sagrantino and the other indigenous varieties helped create a recognizable brand in a territory traditionally dedicated to quality wine making. The continued pursuit of excellence, combined with a strong commitment to research cemented the international fame of the native grape Sagrantino di Montefalco. We have always preserved the indigenous heritage of our vines alongside them in the form of dynamic and modern agriculture.
In 1977 Vittorio Moretti founded Bellavista, making it one of Franciacorta's most authoritative estates. The name is that of the hill on which the winery stands, surrounded by the beauty of a landscape that looks out to the lake, the plain and the nearby Alps, set in the beauty of a morainic hillside amphitheater. Bellavista is synonymous with elegance and finesse, with passion for a land that generates wonders: Franciacorta. Bellavista's philosophy is about maniacal precision, simplicity and an intimate connection between man and land. Every detail is carefully pursued and every gesture, even the smallest, is considered crucial. Today, Francesca Moretti, the family winemaker, supported by Richard Geoffroy, leads the team of winery and vineyard technicians. The idea is the one that has constantly guided her father Vittorio over the years: "excellence is a goal to be pursued on a daily basis, and to be accomplished in the craftsmanship of gestures, in the constancy of production, in the intimate commitment to the founding values of an enterprise. Our work is not only to produce wine, but also to tell the story of women and men who nurture the vineyards every day, the story of a land that demands much and can also offer so much, of the nature that renews itself with constancy and determination, of a utopian dream that has become reality."
Since its foundation back in 1986, Feudi di San Gregorio winery has been enhancing the value of indigenous Campania grape varieties such as Greco, Fiano and Aglianico. The experience has prompted the Capaldo family to explore the wine potential of other regions of Italy too, as part of the “Tenute Capaldo” project which encompasses a series of wineries with the same founding values of long-term vision, a local approach, and a client-centric culture. The Group spans the following territories: DUBL – a classic method sparkling wine from Campania; Campo alle Comete – a bulwark of Tuscany from Bolgheri; Basilisco – an organic winery in the Vulture area (Basilicata); and Sirch – from the splendid Friuli Colli Orientali. All of these wineries share the same values of making fine wines as a product of their local terroir. Backed by investments of more than 70 million euros and ongoing study and research, Feudi is much more than just a winery: it is a venue for meeting and being together, a laboratory for ideas, art and culture. Feudi’s penchant for art and design, thanks to the fruitful collaboration with great Italian masters, has always been distinctive.
