Since 1920, the Jegerlehner-Prataviera family is working with passion in their vineyards in Gascony from father to son – and daughter! Today Elisabeth Prataviera runs the estate in the heart of Gascony, South-West France. The vineyard spreads over 270 hectares on a rich diverse terroir: clay-limestone soils, fine silicious ‘Boulbènes’ soils, and the famous local ‘Sables Fauves’. Marine fossils can be found throughout the vineyards – it was covered by sea 23 million years ago. The family cares for their lands and works with sustainable winegrowing practices. The winery is certified environmental-friendly ‘HVE3’. The estate makes a range of elegant white, red, rosé & sweet wines. The family also produces Armagnac – the oldest spirit in France – and has a collection back to 1973.
