We have three guiding principles:
Deeply rooted. For generations, we have been deeply connected to the place, the landscape and, of course, the soils that are so important for the wine we make. Wines that naturally reflect not only the soil on which they grow, but also us. Down-to-earth and traditional, but also modern and cosmopolitan. Strong in character, with corners and edges instead of arbitrary complaisance. Natural and powerful, without laying it on thick.
Experience nature. Top wines are not created by chance. Excellent vineyards, a strong reduction of yields and finally, the harmony between nature, the particularities of the soil, the vines and the winegrower are of great importance. The soils of our best sites are characterized by loess and tone marl with high limestone content. Conditions that we specifically use for ourselves. For example, by planting our vines more densely than usual and thus ensuring that they take root more deeply and absorb significantly more naturally stored minerals than usual.
Taste passion. Absolute dedication, taking nothing for granted and looking for improvement in every detail - this is the only way we can make the wines we make. This applies to our work in the vineyard, in the gentle processing of the grapes and, of course, during fermentation and storage.
