Gambino, surrounded by the Etna Regional Park, is located in the small town of Linguaglossa, on the northeastern slope of Europe's most active volcano, at about 900 meters above sea level.
   The winery was founded in 1978, over forty years ago, by Vittorio Raciti and Maria Gambino, who are considered pioneers as they were among the first to reintroduce Etnean viticulture—an ancient tradition—on this side of the volcano and at such altitudes (we are among the highest vineyards on Mount Etna).
   We enjoy a unique position, with a breathtaking view—highlighted by the prestigious National Geographic—between Taormina and Mount Etna.
   Our vineyards, facing both northeast and east, are located between Randazzo and Piedimonte Etneo, with our historic headquarters in Linguaglossa, in the Contrada Petto Dragone district.

We grow native grape varieties typical of this area: Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante and Catarratto.
   The family has also invested in the construction of an underground winery, designed to have a low environmental impact and to ensure optimal winemaking conditions, where traditional vineyard practices meet cutting-edge, modern equipment.

For many years now, the company has also chosen to invest in central and western Sicily, where we grow other indigenous grape varieties such as Grillo, Moscato di Alessandria, and Nero d’Avola.

Our story is deeply rooted in the history of the land and the value of its people. As innovators also in the field of hospitality—a sector we've dedicated significant resources to since the early 2000s—we believe in the power of an authentic and honest narrative to share our Sicilian Wine Story.

Gambino, encadré par le Parc Régional de l’Etna, se trouve dans la petite commune de Linguaglossa, sur le versant nord-est du volcan le plus actif d’Europe, à environ 900 mètres d’altitude.

La cave a été conçue en 1978, il y a plus de quarante ans, par Vittorio Raciti et Maria Gambino. Ils sont considérés comme des pionniers car ils ont été parmi les premiers à réintroduire la viticulture de l’Etna, dont les origines sont très anciennes, sur ce versant et à ces altitudes (nous sommes parmi les caves avec les vignobles les plus élevés de l’Etna). Nous bénéficions d’un positionnement unique, avec une vue impressionnante, mentionnée par le prestigieux National Geographic, entre Taormina et l’Etna. Nos vignobles sont exposés au nord-est et à l’est, et se trouvent parmi Randazzo et Piedimonte Etneo, mais le cœur reste le site historique de Linguaglossa dans le quartier Petto Dragone. Ici, il y a la culture des raisins indigènes du territoire : Nerello Mascalese et Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante et Catarratto.

La famille a investi dans le projet d’une cave hypogée, à bas impact environnemental et garantissant un environnement parfait par la vinification, où les techniques traditionnelles pratiquées dans le vignoble se mélangent avec des machines modernes et avant-gardistes.

Il y a beaucoup d’années, l’entreprise a également décidé d’investir dans les territoires de la Sicile centrale et occidentale, où sont cultivés d’autres raisins indigènes : Grillo, Moscato di Alessandria et Nero d’Avola.
