Co-exhibitor of Consorzio Classese e Oltrepò Pavese
This is how it all started: it was 1919, my great-grandfather Mario Odero returned to Italy from England and fell in love with this estate in Oltrepò Pavese. He bought Frecciarossa and decided to make quality wine, the kind you sell in bottles, a rarity at the time: and he did it.
My grandfather Giorgio took over from him. He went to France to learn from the best winemakers. When he came back, he put his knowledge to good use, setting Frecciarossa on the road to success: international awards, becoming suppliers to the Viceroy of the Indies and to the Royal Household. In 1933, the export licence No. 19 for trade in the United States.
And then it was my mother Margherita with her tenacity who lead us into the new millennium. She renewed the cellars, redesigned our vineyards: together we converted the estate to organic farming.
Today I have a first-rate team around me, and I am supported by the knowledge handed down from the generations before me. Those who lived among the vineyards and hills of this land for a hundred years. Land that I love and that has always been a home to me. And this is our story.
