Cantine Intorcia was founded in 1930 by the Intorcia family, who still run the company. From a small family run farm, Cantine Intorcia today consists of establishments that extend over an area of over 25,000 square meters, with a capacity of more than one hundred thousand hectoliters and suggestive aging warehouses that host over 20,000 hl of wine in oak barrels of different sizes.
The attention to quality, the continuous search for innovation and the continuous investments in the winery, have always guided the Intorcia family in their history as wine producers. Both the ability to select - from the phase of arrival in the cellar of the grapes to the phase of aging - and the wisdom in waiting for time to offer its contribution, have ensured that Cantine Intorcia were able to satisfy any type of consumer.
The entry of Francesco, the third generation of the Intorcia family, marks the continuity in the handover of the precious historical and emotional heritage. A responsibility of no small importance. Francesco understood from the first moment that inside the historic cellars there were treasures, and guided by his father he began his journey into the world of the complexity of Marsala wine.
The new project stems from the vineyards owned and represents the will to restore strength and credibility to a product that has suffered a relentless decline in recent decades.
The Intorcia family therefore began its mission, that of promoting Marsala in Italy and in the World, explaining it, combining it but above all making it be tasted.
