DOMENICO CLERICO WINERY
Founded in 1976 in Monforte d’Alba by Domenico Clerico and his wife Giuliana, the winery began with just two hectares of family vineyards previously farmed by Domenico’s grandfather. Today the estate extends over 26 hectares, all within Monforte, including some of the appellation’s most iconic crus such as Ginestra, Mosconi and Bussia.
Domenico Clerico has long been recognized as one of the leading figures of the Barolo Boys, the pioneering group of producers who helped bring Barolo onto the world stage in the 1980s and 1990s. His forward-thinking approach, devotion to Monforte’s terroirand constant pursuit of quality shaped the estate’s identity.
The winery remains firmly rooted in tradition while embracing a contemporary vision. It produces six Barolo labels—five single-vineyard expressions that showcase the character of Monforte’s great crus and one classic communal Barolo. Its range also includes Barbera, Nebbiolo, and Dolcetto, crafted with precision and a deep respect for varietal purity..
