Co-exhibitor of DEV'UP CENTRE - VAL DE LOIRE
For eight generations, the Jamet family have been growing grapes and making wine in Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil, where we now produce a wide range of wines, made from Cabernet Franc or Breton: light reds, rich reds, sparkling and rosé. We are equally adept at developing micro-cuvées for specific markets and clients, as we are at producing the classic, easy-drinking St Nicolas style that is well suited for high volume markets. In 2020, both of our domaines, Domaine des Vallettes and Le Clos du Vigneau were awarded “Haute Valeur Environnementale", which reflects our commitment to working in harmony with our beautiful landscape, here in the Loire Valley. The soils or “terroirs” in our Saint Nicolas and Anjou vineyards are mainly gravel and coarse sand, with slightly heavier sands for some of our Vigneau vineyards – all perfect for immediately enjoyable and easy-drinking red, fresh rosé and versatile sparkling wines. While in the two glorious vineyards we use for our Bourgueil AOC, the soils range from rich chalky sand to very sticky, chalky clay – ideal for crafting long-lived, sumptuous Cabernet Franc. Enjoy, learn, discover - this is our home and you are always welcome!
