Domaine Sauger is a family estate since 5 generations (since 1870);
Today, Philippe Sauger cultivates 39 Ha in AOC Cheverny and Cour-Cheverny (Grape Vartiety: Romorantin) Appellations, near the Château de Cheverny, Chambord, Chenonceau and Beauval Zoo, in the Centre-Val de Loire region (Garden of the France);
The planting of the domain is constituted with:
- 65% of grapes varieties for White Wines: Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay
- 35% of grapes varieties for Red and Rosé Wines: Pinot Noir (prédominant) and Gamay;
- 5 % of grape variety: Romorantin (Cour-Cheverny Appellation), unique and exclusif grape, for a wine with garde;
The vineyard are cultivated by traditional and sustainable methods (HVE certified), with systematic grassing of the vines and cultivating of soils;
Wines are Pleasants, Elegant or Researched...depending of the cuvées, and regularly rewarded (in 2025: Crush for Guide Hachette for one cuvée and two stars for two other cuvées, in 2024: Golden medal by Bettane & Desseauve guid for one cuvée);
The cuvée: Cheverny Banc 'Tradition' can be tasting on the free-tasting area... Good Tasting !
