Co-exhibitor of CCI BOURGOGNE FRANCHE-COMTE
On June 16, 1919, Xavier Richard, then operating in Vernois, bought the winemaker’s house. At the end of the Second World War, one of the sons Jean took over the property, abandoned the polyculture and specialized in the vineyard. Since 1947 the estate is present at the Comtoise fair of Besançon which gives it a certain notoriety in the Bisontine region. In 1976, his son Pierre Richard, had only to continue the exploitation of the estate. After his studies in Viticulture and Oenology in Beaune, followed by different work experiences in vineyards in France (Saint-Emilion and Côtes de Provence), Vincent Richard is back on the family farm in 2009 to sustain the activity. In 2017 he starts working with his wife Emmanuelle and in 2018 they both decide to follow their deepest convictions and orientate the vineyard towards organic agriculture in order to obtain the certification under the control of the Ecocert organism. Lovers of our terroir, our products reflect the typical Jurassian. Curious, we vinified wines in Dolium (terracotta jar). Concerned about the best, we make our red wines without adding sulphur!
