Created in the 80s by a man from Champagne who saw all the potential of the region to produce sparkling quality wines, the Domaine J.Laurens was taken over 20 years ago by Jacques Calvel, the current owner. Thanks to targeted investments and a small team working on a joint project, the field has grown year after year. The vineyard now has 55 hectares of its own and 40 hectares of sub-treated vineyard, the buildings have been enlarged for optimal air-conditioned storage space and a stainless steel vat room. Sales have increased and today we distribute in more than 30 different countries or states, only AOC Blanquette and Crémant or Méthode Ancestrale de Limoux. The quality of our wines takes precedence over everything and year after year it is Henri, our cellar master, present since the beginning, who make the essential assembly to our cuvées to give them this recognizable style: lively sparkling wines, fresh at first sight, a supple length in the mouth afterwards, aromas of citrus fruit, green apple, white flowers, honey or brioche depending on the selected cuvées and a constantly fine bubble. HEV since 2021, we continue on the path of the preservation of the environment with already 22 organic hectares and our very firts Bio cuvée in 2022.
