A Family Story
Arles, Camargue , 1927 : after truly pioneering work, Pierre Chassaing set up the winery and introduced a sheep herd.
Today, the 230-hectare vineyard surrounds Isle Saint-Pierre’s winery. This island in the Rhône, located 15km away from the mouth of the river, is the southernmost vineyard in the Rhône valley. Swept by the Mistral wind, it enjoys temperate heat due to its proximity to the sea and its position in the river.
Patrick Henry, Marie-Cécile and their children, the third and fourth generations of winegrowers, have restructured and modernised the vineyard in keeping with tradition while making the most of the latest technical advances. Everything has come together to produce subtly balanced red, white and rosé wines for your fullest satisfaction.
Having learned to live with Isle Saint-Pierre’s rich nature and abundant biodiversity, the Henry family and winery staff are perpetuating the expertise and values of the family estate.
