The wine estate was founded in 1963 by Hubert Reyser, who bought his first wine parcel at the age of 14. With the support of his grand-mother, and then his wife Denise, he quickly transformed the family estate from polyculture to vine cultivation. After studying biology and environment, Lionel, the son, joined the family business, which he revitalized by orienting the work towards a better respect for the terroir and even more concentrated wines. Currently converting to organic practices, the whole family develops, with the utmost care, the whole range of Alsatian grape varieties on 15 hectares, including 1.5 hectares of ‘Grand Cru’. Located 20 minutes away from Strasbourg, the predominately clay-limestone soils give our wine a powerful and yet fresh character. Our wines and ‘Crémants’ have been awarded on many occasions at international contests and by professional journals.
