A Terroir for Muscadet, but not only... Our Muscadet Sèvre & Maine come from the best hills above Sanguèze river, with lots of freshness. Some of our Muscadet have a great aging capacity, like the cru Mouzillon-Tillières and cru Vallet. On our schisty and gabbro soils, a unique range of varietals was also settled. Some of them are traditional like Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Merlot, Gamay, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Some are more original or even rare, like Gewuztraminer, Abouriou, Colombard, Grolleau Gris or Sauvignon Gris. A more than 160 years old history For four generations, our winery is transmitted from fathers to sons. Vineyard and stone made cellar were built at the beginning of XIXth century. The building was initially divided in two parts, one part as a cellar, the other part as a barn for horses. Since early eighties, the whole building is dedicated to winemaking and maturing of our wines. In 1996, I succeeded my father. Domaine du Colombier has been signatory of Charter of Vignerons Independants for more than 30 years, because we want to keep our values and our know-how, with great respect to nature’s requirements. As winemaker in this early XXIth century, we love conviviality and gastronomy. Combining innovation and tradition in our cellar is our passion. But our main willing is to make our clients happy, and maintain and develop genuine human relations… Certified High Environmental Value Since 2015, our vineyard is certified High Environmental Value (HVE – Haute Valeur Environnementale). This is the highest level of certification for sustainable culture, combining agriculture and environment. This certification is controlled by a state registered institution.
