Created in 1887, Domaine Des Petits Quarts has a significant place in the Loire Valley wine region. Owned by the same family since its beginning, this estate is the flagship of sweet and liquorous wines of the Layon valley. Jean Pascal Godineau, the last owner (4th generation) has always believed in the Chenin grape variety to make amazing syrupy wines, to the point of being elected best sweet wine in the world for his 1996 vintage. Jean Pascal retired in 2021 and handed over this beautiful vineyard to an association of five local families. With 26 hectares of Chenin, we produce today all kinds of wine, from sparkling wine to sweet wine and dry white wine.
