Organic estate in Touraine Oisly, committed to the expression of Sauvignon Blanc and respect for fruit and terroir.
Domaine Delobel – Touraine Oisly, Loire Valley
Domaine Delobel is the story of a winegrowing duo, Sandrine and Benjamin, established in the Loire Valley since 2014.
After formal studies in viticulture and oenology, and professional experiences in France and abroad, we chose to settle in Touraine Oisly, a discreet appellation recognised as one of the historical birthplaces of Sauvignon Blanc. We created our estate from 12 hectares of vineyards, immediately farmed under organic certification, and restored an old farmhouse to build our winery.
Organic farming has always been part of our DNA. Observing, understanding and accompanying the vine guide every decision we make. This commitment led us to become the first organically certified estate in the Touraine Oisly appellation.
In 2019, only five years after the estate was founded, our work with Sauvignon Blanc was recognised with the title of “Best Sauvignon in the World”, a strong acknowledgement of the precision of our wines and the expression of this terroir.
Today, the estate covers 14 hectares, located between Chenonceau and Chambord, on Sologne sands over clay, a soil that naturally brings freshness and precision to the wines.
Our vineyards are predominantly planted with Sauvignon Blanc, complemented by 2.5 hectares of Pineau d’Aunis, a rare and distinctive Loire grape variety, and a small parcel of Gamay. One third of our vines are over 50 years old.
Benjamin is in charge of vineyard work throughout the year. Sandrine oversees the winemaking, with a constant focus on preserving the expression of the fruit and the terroir.
We produce around 60,000 bottles per year and work primarily with professional partners: 90% of our production is sold to wine merchants, distributors and partners in France and internationally.
