At the heart of the scrubland Grés-de-Montpellier, set in a lush Mediterranean nature, on the fresher part of the appellation, the Clos de l'Amandaie unfolds like a green carpet at the foot of a rocky landscape formed by the ancient castle ruins Aumelas. The contrast of the rocky red soil loaded with iron oxide and the blue Mediterranean sky, figure a gift of nature. For six generations, the family Peytavy relays on the slopes of Aumelas in the northwest of Montpellier and 15km from terroir of Aniane. Each generation brings a touch of modernization and sign the influence of his time while feeding advice of elders. Immediately we adopted new methods : the integrated viticulture, the declining yields through severe pruning and selective disbudding, organic fertilizer, tillage,no insecticide and low utilization of sulfites. All of this sublimate the old parcels of the domain, essential factors to create beautiful and singular wines in appellation Grés de Montpellier. Today our vineyard mainly on hillsides represents 30 hectares in Organic Farming | Altitude of 250 meters Since we started our adventure, we worked only with retailers and restaurants for sustainable partnership in France and overseas. Some of our wines are served on Michelin’s stars restaurants : Michel Sarran** in Toulouse, Helene Darroze restaurant** in Paris , Kei restaurant**, SaQuaNa** in Honfleur and the Mandarin Oriental***** in Geneva.
