In 2023, Eric and Elisabet took over Château Lange, driven by a deep desire to work the land and produce a wine true to their vision: sincere, vibrant, and deeply rooted in its terroir.
Today, the estate spans 25 acres of vineyards planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle, and Sémillon, the emblematic grape varieties of Sauternes.
Each harvest is carried out by hand, berry by berry, in several passes, to pick the grapes at their perfect point of balance. The wines are then aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. This hand-crafted method reveals all the complexity, finess and magic of Sauternes.
Led by a new generation, Château Lange aims to open a modern chapter in its history. By revisiting the image of its bottle with a bolder and more rebellious touch, while respecting traditional methods, the estate affirms its commitment to introducing Sauternes to a younger, more curious audience.
