Our estate is more than 130years old and is one of the oldest family-owned independent winery in the Region of Anjou in the Loire Valley. Today Anne and Hervé TIJOU, representing the 5th generation, manage the 35-hectares vineyard.
We have 20 ha of CHENIN, the most important grape variety of our winery and 10 ha of CABERNET FRANC.
All of our wines are HEV 3 certified (High Environmental Value).
In order to preserve the premium quality of our wines, our working methods remained traditional: 90% of Château de Bellevue vineyard is HAND-HARVESTED.
A low-temperature control during the fermentation process allows us to keep the fruity aromas. Some of our wines are matured or fermented in french oak barrels. All of our wines are entirely made, aged and bottled in our cellars.
