Château Les Donats is the culmination of a passionate and meticulous winemaking project, developed with dedication over nearly three decades. Under the watchful eye of winemaker Olivier Verhelst, who has acquired extensive experience through significant internships in Bordeaux, Napa Valley, and Mendoza, this project has flourished in southwestern France, in the heart of the picturesque Dordogne Valley, in Bergerac. With a rigorous selection of 23 hectares of vines, cultivated on some of the most remarkable terroirs in the region, Château Les Donats is distinguished by its ability to create a diverse collection of wines, each telling a unique story of taste and style, thanks to a synergy of different grape varieties, exposures, and soils.
The very essence of Château Les Donats lies in the desire to produce wines of character, deeply rooted in their terroir, accessible to all budgets and suitable for all occasions. This ambition is achieved through a harmonious fusion of modern oenological techniques and traditional methods, such as the use of amphorae, natural fermentation, and the preservation of old grape varieties. This approach has earned Château Les Donats consistent praise from the national and international press.
The vineyard also stands out for its commitment to sustainability, ensuring that each bottle reflects not only excellence in winemaking but also an ecological conscience. The attention to aesthetics is undeniable, each wine – with captivating names like RBelle, Panache, Astérisk, Bellerose, and TrèsBelle – is presented in a premium package that promises a complete sensory experience, combining the pleasure of the eyes and the delight of the palate. Château Les Donats does not merely produce wines; it creates drinkable works of art that embody the beauty and richness of their native terroir.
