A family estate since the 15th century, Château Haut Rocher is located on the hillsides of Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse and overlooks the Dordogne Valley.
Since 2010, the estate has been owned by Béatrice and Jérôme de Monteil. Significant investments have been made, including the renovation of the winery, updating the vineyard plots, and acquiring new winemaking equipment.
The 14.5 ha vineyard, planted in clay-limestone soil, on south/southeast facing hillsides, benefits from a privileged location for the creation of great wines of the Saint Emilion Grand Cru and Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellations.
Committed to protecting this exceptional natural environment, the estate is certified Organic Agriculture and HVE 4.
The winery is advised by oenologist Thomas Duclos, a renowned Bordeaux oenologist who works with First Grand Cru Classé of the appellation : Ausone, Figeac, Canon, Troplong Mondot, Beauséjour Bécot, etc.
Five different wines will be offered for tasting : Château Haut Rocher St Emilion Grand Cru, Pavillon du Haut Rocher St Emilion, Château Bréhat Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux and Cuvée B de Bréhat Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux. And a new preview of L'Incarnat de Bréhat, a Bordeaux Claret : a light red wine, low in tannins, to be drunk chilled.
These wines are awarded each year glowing tasting notes and comments from recognized critics who place us among the best wines of our appellations :
