The estate story: The wine estate has been founded in 1876 by François GRIMARD a former cooper. The winery has been taken over by his son Maurice Grimard early 20th century, whose daughter Janine Grimard married Jean BONNET, who are the parents of the actual owner Christophe BONNET.
The story of Péché du Roy: King Louis XIV is an integral part of the history of the BONNET et FILS estate. During his stay in Bourg in 1650, he particularly appreciated our terroir, the “Sun King” feasted on peaches from Guiraud, the current place of the vineyard. A.O.C.
Côtes-de-Bourg: The Côtes-de-Bourg are located on the right bank of the Dordogne and Gironde, a few kilometers from the city of Bordeaux. The variety of soils is rich, one finds there clay, limestone and gravel. Its other specificities are its meso-climate, which gives it a slightly higher sunshine, less extreme temperatures as well as a lower rainfall than in the rest of Bordeaux.
