Co-exhibitor of TERROIRS DES RICEYS
Maison Morize is located in Les Riceys, a village of character, an exceptional terroir on the Côte des Bar, the largest in Champagne, in the south of the Aube department, known for its three appellations:
CHAMPAGNE / ROSÉ DES RICEYS / CÔTEAUX CHAMPENOIS
Established in Les Riceys since 1830, and harvesting and handling for three generations, we produce all three appellations using only grapes from our own vineyards planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.
We have the particularity of carrying out a controlled malolactic fermentation to preserve as much of the wine's aromas and freshness as possible.
These three grape varieties give rise to our cuvées, which are aged for long periods in our 11th-century Cistercian cellars.
Our bottles are aged for a minimum of 5 years in our cellars, and a minimum of 10 years for our vintages, to produce fine, complex aromas.
The Morize name is renowned for its original cuvées, such as the atypical Champagne Rosé de Saignée, the famous Rosé des Riceys and the rare Côteaux Champenois Blanc.
