🥂🍾 🇬🇧 GB 🇬🇧 A know-how passed down from generation to generation, a passion for the vineyard and the art of winegrowing. 🍇 The vine, it is a family story. Ancient families of Charly-sur-Marne, the LÉGUILLETTE and the ROMELOT are settled in this village since 18th century. A passion and an ancestral know-how that motivates us to compose a surprising range of Champagne.🥂 Engaged for our vineyard and for the legacy of La Champagne, we have planted 1 hectare of "Les Cépages d'Autrefois" (Old Grape Varieties) on our estate : the Clos du Mont Dorin. But, do you know "Les Cépages d'Autrefois" ? 🤔 ➡️ It represents 90 hectares on the entirety of the Champagne appellation, 0.30% of the area of Champagne. We are calling "Cépages d'Autrefois" le Petit Meslier, l'Arbanne and le Pinot Blanc ! Needless to say, with the hectare planted in our Clos, we are doing well in this niche crop ! In our cellar, we vinify those 3 Old Grape Varieties to compose atypic and surprising creations that are rich in aromas. Concerned about our way of cultivating the vine, our vineyard is 100% grassed and mechanically worked under the row. Helped by our draft horses, we work the soil by animal traction and we maintain the grass in our rows with our sheep. We do not use herbicides nor pesticide since 10 year and we have got 2 major certifications in 2019 : HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale = High Environmental Value) and VDC (Viticulture Durable en Champagne = Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne). These certifications reward our "green" commitment. 🌿 A family estate that you can visit with an appointment ! Discover the History of our Maison, of our region and our Champagne which are tasted first out of curiosity, then for pleasure!! 🥂🍾

A woman, a culture, a Wine A Vineyard Our 18 hectares vineyard is divided into 21 plots, located in Trélou-sur-Marne in the Marne River Valley. We grow a majority of Pinot Meunier, as well as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Taking care of the vineyards is our first concern, we cultivate through sustainable viticulture and controlled natural grassing. The Champagne Quality chart is duly respected throughout the process of vinifying our champagne. A family The champagne Veuve Olivier et Fils has been founded in 1922. Our great-grandfather, Edmond, was one of the first growers in Trélou-sur-Marne to vinify his grapes and market his champagne. His daughter Liliane developed the business with the help of her son Pierre. She gave birth in 1955 to the brand «Veuve Olivier et Fils». Our status of «Recoltant-Manipulant» has been preserved over the years : we elaborate each cuvée in our own cellars, exclusively from the grapes harvested on our vineyard. A team Sandrine Charpentier-Olivier manages her company with the cooperation of her parents Michelle and Pierre, who share with her their knowledge and experience of wine-growers. Sandrine has grown up in this family environment and has been able to build a team and use techniques combining tradition and modernity, to offer you the best of her heritage. A know-how The grapes from our Domaine are slowly and gradually pressed into our Coquard traditional or last generation presses. The vinification of each plot allows us to develop our champagne closer to the typicality of our soil. As a major step, we blend reserve wines with the wines of the year sourced from various plots and various cepages. All these elements give Champagne Veuve Olivier et Fils a freshness, rich aromas, a balance in the mouth, a great maturity, that seduce our customers.
