Co-exhibitor of CHAMPAGNE DE VIGNERONS
Champagne Didier Ducos was founded in the early 1950s in the village of St. Martin d’Ablois when Yvonne DUCOS married Adrien DIDIER. Adrien had been deported during the war and the first bottles of champagne DIDIER-DUCOS were sold mainly to friends who had also been deportees. The family business prospered and grew even more when Adrien and Yvonne’s son Christophe, and his wife Dominique, joined the company in the 1980s. The vineyards are centred on the village of St. Martin d’Ablois and its neighbour Vinay, both located in the area called Les Coteaux Sud d’Epernay, where DIDIER-DUCOS makes outstanding blended and single varietal champagnes. When Nicolas joined the company in 2001 he decided to implement a strict eco-friendly policy in keeping with the rapidly-evolving techniques for both viticulture and wine making. Both Nicolas and Clotilde are proud to be carrying the family traditions and expertise into the 3rd generation and Nicolas, after his studies at the ViticulturalCollege in Avize, has brought a fresh, modern approach to the business, although, to be fair, it had never been old-fashioned.
