Co-exhibitor of WINES OF CHILE
The owner families have been linked to the region and its agriculture
tradition, moving from traditional farming (vegetables and grains)
growing and lately to wine grapes and apples. This new age in the
agricultural business leads the way to the foundation of the winery in
2001, after realizing the potential their farms had.
One of the head houses was actually built back in 1850. Hence the origin
of the winery’s name Casas Patronales.
Soil conditions, climate, agronomic management
and oenology of a place define the terroir, which is
expressed in distinctive and unique wines. It can
be perceived as a ecosystem that results from the
association -in a given place- of a type of soil, a
topography, a microclimate, from the root of the
plants, the variety, and the people.
