Cantine Bonacchi has a very modern winemaking and bottling plant composed of two lines: one dedicated exclusively to Bordeaux bottles, fully automated, which has a production potential of 9,000 bottles per hour, the other dedicated to the production of double Bordolese and traditional flasks straw that can produce up to 3,000 pieces / hour.
These two bottling plants, combined with the storage potential of the cellars, allow us to satisfy any request.
The company currently produces over 3,000,000 bottles a year, destined for the domestic and international market.
As a further guarantee of quality and organization, Cantine Bonacchi is ISO 9001/2015, BRC and IFS certified.
Enrico Bonacchi great grand father of Andrea, was the founder of Bonacchi dynasty as wine growers in Tuscany, at the end of 19th century. He was a small grower in the same area where Bonacchi vineyards are currently located.
In 1909 Pio Bonacchi, the son of Enrico, was born; he continued the business of his father with his brothers, plus he acquired other land, subsequently planted as vineyards, from the neighbours.
Up to 1965 Bonacchi family remain in the same location until the arrival of Giovanni Bonacchi, Andrea’s father. Giovanni want to expand the production of Chianti and he acquired the Estate of Montemagno 100 acres of vineyards in the area denominated Chianti Montalbano.
At the end of eighties the commercial site of the business started in the local market as well as abroad, the new winery in Quarrata was built.
As the business developed, in 1999 Casalino Estates was acquired, 60 Acres of vineyards in the heart of the Chianti Classico Black Roster. In 2001, Bonacchi family acquired the Estate in Montalcino, Molino della Suga, 25 acres between Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino. We recently added 50 acres of new vines dedicated to Chianti Colli Senesi, Vermentino and Pinot Grigio IGT.
The latest improvement is Bolgheri Estate acquired in December 2022 for the production of Bolgheri, Bolgheri Superiore and Bolgheri Vermentino
After Giovanni’s retirement, Andrea continues the business of his father being the 4th generation expanding the prestige of the Bonacchi brand present today in over 20 countries.
