Cantina Valpolicella Negrar lies in the heart of Valpolicella Classico land. Founded on August 23, 1933 by 7 gentlemen from Verona on a cooperative model, it is the winery that gave birth in 1936 to the first bottle labeled and marketed under the name "Amarone," qualified as "Extra." Today Cantina Valpolicella Negrar, which counts on the favor and cooperation of more than 240 winegrowers and a total vineyard area of about 700 hectares, represents an important part of the entire Valpolicella. Owner of one of the largest grape drying center in Italy, it is recognized among the leading representatives and most authoritative references for Amarone and the Appassimento technique. Since 1989 it has given birth to Domìni Veneti, the premium brand of the winery, a pioneering project that starts from the Negrar Valley to tell the best of Valpolicella Classico area.
