Burgozone is the oldest family winery in Bulgaria and the most exported family winery in the country, present in 20+ markets across 4 continents. The winery takes its name from the ancient Roman fortress of Burgozone Fortress, located on the same site along the Bulgarian banks of the Danube River.
Led by a distinctive legacy of three generations of women, Burgozone combines deep historical roots with a modern, export-oriented vision. The estate works exclusively with a single vineyard of 100 hectares, planted with 13 grape varieties and 22 different clones, ensuring precision and consistency across vintages.
Positioned on Danube river terraces with deep loess soils and a continental climate moderated by the river, Burgozone has established itself as a leader in white wine production in Bulgaria and elegant reds.. All wines are certified PGI Danube Plain, reinforcing the estate’s leadership in terroir-driven wines from the region.
Sustainability is integral to the winery’s philosophy, with Burgozone being the first vegan-certified wineries in Bulgaria,
The Burgozone style is defined by the “3 Fs”- Fresh, Fruity, and Fine — elegant, balanced wines with strong gastronomic appeal.
Recognized as the “Golden Winery of Bulgaria,” Burgozone’s flagship Chardonnay, Viognier, and Pinot Noir are among the most awarded wines in the Balkans, delivering strong international credibility. The portfolio is complemented by local varieties Tamyanka and Gamza, recipients of multiple Gold medals and featured in Michelin-starred restaurants, offering authentic differentiation for knowledgeable buyers.
Burgozone delivers history, certified terroir, sustainability, and award-winning white wines—clearly positioned for premium international markets.
