Bodegas Rodríguez y Sanzo S.L. is a family-run winery with deep roots in the Duero Valley. Our work is focused in two key locations: our own wineries in the Toro and Rueda Designations of Origin. But our story goes beyond geography—it's the story of a family that lives and breathes wine.

The project was born in 2003, founded by Javier and María—partners in life, in business, and in passion for wine. It proudly carries their surnames as a personal seal. Javier, an internationally acclaimed winemaker, has brought our philosophy beyond our own facilities, crafting wines in other iconic regions such as Rioja, Rías Baixas, Bierzo and Ribera del Duero.

We are driven by a clear conviction: the soil and its influence define the soul of each wine. That’s why we work with a deep, honest focus on the terroir, striving to capture its essence in every bottle.

From the very beginning, we bet on the international market, where appreciation for origin and authenticity was already more developed. Today, three-quarters of our production is exported across five continents, and recently, our dedication to the Spanish market is earning us a place in some of the country’s finest restaurants… although we aim to be in every restaurant with personality.

Thanks to constant effort, increasing quality, and an innovative yet tradition-rooted approach, we have earned the respect of wine professionals and the specialized press. In 2014, we were named “Best Winery in Spain”—a recognition of our journey. Since then, awards and accolades continue to validate our commitment.
