Italy
This is not just the story of a company, but that of a family that from father to son has passionately transported the flavours of Verona, to the whole world. Cantina Biscardo was founded in 1878 in Bussolengo, in the province of Verona, by Terenzio Biscardo, who at the time ran the Albergo alle Tre Corone in the center of town. Terenzio was also a host, producer, and wine merchant. Over the years, his sons Pompilio and Luigi expanded the range of wines to include Valpolicella, Bardolino, Merlot, and Amarone. The winery grew and expanded internationally, reaching Germany, England, America, and other markets.
Today, the winery is run by Maurizio, Martino, and Maddalena (Martino's daughter) and produces classic Veronese wines, but not only. The main wines of Valpolicella such as Ripasso and Amarone Classico Superiore are very representative of the Biscardo style, but there is no lack of interpretations capable of combining creativity and innovation, respect for the territory and international vision, with a wise use of appassimento and tonneau.
The philosophy in creating and producing wines is to pursue quality at every stage, from the bottle to the label, to the liquid that is carefully selected, and the maintenance of these standards over the years. Consistency in quality is the signature of the Biscardo Family, capable of meeting the needs of different international markets with identity and personality.
Our Best Sellers are Amarone Classico, Ripasso Classico, Prosecco and Pinot Grigio as classic Venetian wines plus Neropasso, Oropasso, Rosapasso and Enigma Sangiovese as modern and young wines for a more modern target of wine lovers.
