Greece
Co-exhibitor of GREAT EXHIBITIONS
Ktima Avantis was established in 1994 by Apostolos Mountrichas. The winery is located in the Ampelia region (where "ampelia" refers to vineyards) in the village of Mytikas, Chalkida, Greece. It features a modern winemaking facility alongside a traditional Greek farmhouse that dates back to 1930. The name "Avantis" comes from the ancient name of Evia, which was derived from the first prehistoric Greek tribe known as the Avantes. Avantis Estate spans 40 hectares of vineyards.
Avantis wines are crafted to express nature's essence, showcasing varietal purity, complexity, grace, and nobility while reflecting the authenticity of the terroir. At Ktima Avantis, the wines are shaped by the distinctive character of the terroir.
Avantis wines have received over 400 awards from international wine competitions.
