Argiano is one of the oldest wineries in Montalcino with Renaissance origins and a history of 500 years. It extends for 120 hectares, 58 of which are vineyards, mostly Sangiovese, with the rest of the lands occupied by forest and olive trees. The altitude is 300-350 mts above the sea level with its best soils that are oceanic deposits extremely rich in limestones. The estate has been completely restored in the past ten years and the historical cellar, the gardens and the main house are back to its original splendor. The production project started in 2014 from the vineyards with a micro mapping study that selected the best sangiovese blocks, changing our farming methods increasing biodiversity and training our vineyards in order to balance them with the environment and contrast the warmer climate and starting to age the Sangiovese only in larger casks with a reductive and delicate ageing process that exalt the freshness and the elegance of the wine.
