Qotot Wines

Van Ardi is a boutique winery with a goal to create an environment where grape growing, wine tourism, old and new winemaking traditions, and art will find a harmonious juncture in a most favorable terroir of the Armenian lands. It is also the company’s intent to foster a winemaking culture that will become a lifestyle for generations to come.
Work on this project began in 2005. After scrupulous analytics of the land and terrain, the vineyard was established and planted with the Areni, Kakhet, Syrah, Haghtanak and Kangun varietals. The vineyard is located in Ashtarak, a region that boasts thousands of years of winemaking history, at 1000m above sea-level, and is endowed with volcanic rocks and soil that is rich with minerals. The vineyard is positioned on hills with south and south-west facing slopes.
Van Ardi issued its first generation of wines, the 2013 vintage, from its estate winery in the fall of that year. These wines have already been successfully accepted by both local and international markets. From cultivation to bottling, the company commits itself to careful winemaking practices in order to obtain exceptionally high-quality wines
Voskeni wines is a family owned vineyard and wine making company located in Sardarapat, Ararat valley. The whole vision of Voskeni Wines revolves around the prominent story of Smbat Matevossian. In the 1920s, the noble man came to Armenia from the USA to pursue his dream of making quality wine. However, history played against him and Bolshevik authorities took away his possessions and later his life.
However, against all odds, almost 100 years later his descendants returned to Armenia from Russia, bought back the vineyards and began producing high-quality wines.
Thanks to hard work and devotion of Smbat Matevossian’s family, Voskeni Wines now offers exceptional wines, picturesque vineyards, cozy home-restaurant, terrace with a stunning view to Mount Ararat and a family always ready to welcome you.
Voskevaz is a family Winery located in the Aragatsotn region of Armenia in the village by the same name, “Voskevaz,” which in Armenian means «golden bunch». Voskevaz Winery was established in 1932. With all of the modern innovations, it still has carefully preserved much of its authentic elements including the buildings. The winery is an exceptional place for wine tourism. The renaissance of the winery began in 2004. Today Voskevaz produces wine using both modern wine-making technology and traditional old karases that were made in the 19th century. Karas (Armenian clay amphora), a traditional vessel for wine fermentation and aging, was used on the territory of Armenia from ancient times.
All of our wines, without exception, reflect the true nature of Armenia. The wines are produced only from local grape varieties and for wine aging are used rare high-quality Caucasian oak barrels. In the production of sweet wines in Armenia «Voskevaz Winery» has pioneered the use of wine withering technology. For more than 10 years, Voskevaz has been the only company producing wines by using grape withering method in Armenia. In 2019, the company produced semi-dry wine using the "KAKHANI" method ("kakhani" comes from the Armenian word "to hang"). This is one of the oldest wine making methods in the world. Voskevaz wines were awarded multiple awards at various prestigious local and international wine contests such as “Mundus Vini”, “Catavinum World Wine & Spirits Competition”, “Decanter World Wine Awards”, “Sommelier Wine Awards”, “USA Wine Ratings”, “P.A.R”, etc. Constantly improving and perfecting the quality of its products, almost every year expanding the assortment of wines, Voskevaz invests its contribution to the wine world.
