About

The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is an international competition where almost 10,000 wines are presented by producers to be tasted and evaluated by a panel of experts. Our experienced judges from all over the world evaluate the wines presented. Their sole ambition is to select wines of impeccable quality, regardless of their label or the prestige of an appellation. The competition is one of the largest international events in its category. The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is a world reference for wine competitions. Its independence, strict standards and tasting procedures reassure consumers that they can buy medal-winning wines with confidence. Professional judges select award-winning wines with integrity for their quality, expression and balance. During the Wine Paris/Vinexpo trade fair, a dozen award-winning producers are brought together under the banner of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles to present their medals and their entire wine production. As soon as the results are published, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles provides the awarded producers with promotional and marketing tools that enable them to showcase their expertise. The organisation of a collective stand at Wine Paris/Vinexpo is part of this strategy to support the medal-winning wines.

HOLDVÖLGY

Hungary
Exhibitor | Stand

Holdvölgy is an independent, family-owned winery located in the Mád basin of the Tokaj appellation. Our philosophy centers on quality-driven, sustainable viticulture, with an emphasis on prevention rather than intervention.

We cultivate 28 hectares across 30 parcels in seven distinct vineyards, allowing us to express the diversity of Tokaj’s exceptional volcanic terroir. Our award-winning wines are produced in limited quantities, with the utmost respect for the fruit and its origin, combining traditional winemaking methods with modern technology.

Our goal is to craft wines that, vintage after vintage, serve as the most authentic imprint of this unique terroir.

All grapes are hand-harvested—in special cases, berry by berry. Holdvölgy produces a wide range of white wines, including dry and sweet styles, blends and single-parcel selections, as well as 6 puttonyos Aszú wines for collectors. Since 2006, an Aszú has been made in every vintage and released only after eight years of ageing, with access also available through our en primeur program.

The oldest Appellation of Origin in Galicia (Spain)

The Designation of Origin Ribeiro is located in Galicia, Spain, on the northwestern edge of the province of Ourense and at the confluences of the valleys formed by the rivers Miño, Avia and Arnoia. A small region situated at 45 km. of the Atlantic Ocean, in a very particular area and of excellent aptitude for the cultivation of the vine. Ribeiro has an approximate extension of 1,300 hectares of vineyards under the protection of the Designation of Origin, covering 14 different townships.

With 1,300 hectares of vineyard and an average yield of 10 million kilos of grape, the Ribeiro Designation of Origin is characterised by its great diversity and parcelling, a winegrowing heritage that represents the Galician heritage by its landscape, territory and human factor.
