Buenos Aires, January 2026 - Luigi Bosca begins the year celebrating its recognition as “New World Winery of the Year” at the Wine Star Awards 2025, awarded by the prestigious U.S. magazine Wine Enthusiast. This international recognition celebrates the trajectory, innovation, and leadership of the Argentine winery, which for 125 years has successfully combined tradition and avant-garde to project the elegance and uniqueness of Mendoza’s great wines to the world.
Each year, the Wine Star Awards recognize the individuals and companies that have left a significant mark on the wine and spirits industry. Considered among the most influential global awards, they value not only wine quality but also strategic vision, consistency, and contributions to the development of the sector.
“We are deeply proud to receive this recognition, which celebrates more than a century of pursuing excellence. A story of interpreting our land, innovating in every endeavor, and evolving while preserving our essence intact,” said Alberto Arizu Jr., fourth generation of the Arizu family. He added: “This award is an inspiration that encourages us to continue looking toward the future with the same conviction my great-grandfather Leoncio had in 1901, when he founded the winery.”
In addition to highlighting Luigi Bosca’s legacy, Wine Enthusiast also emphasized its global-scale operations, which bring to the world “a century of luxury winemaking, high-quality Malbecs, and Mendoza excellence.” The awards ceremony will take place on January 26, 2026, in New York City.
With 125 years of history and a presence in more than 60 markets, Luigi Bosca has played a leading role in the major milestones of Argentine winemaking. Its innovative spirit and the development of a distinctive style have made it one of the country’s benchmark wineries and a true ambassador of Mendoza’s terroir worldwide.
“We celebrate this award as a recognition of the entire Argentine wine industry. Without a doubt, it reflects the talent, perseverance, and the ability of our land to create wines of excellence that are now admired around the world,” concluded Alberto Arizu Jr.
