At the Domaine at Seggauberg, work is carried out in harmony with nature. On April 28, 2007, Anton and Astrid Hirschchmugl planted their first vines, specifically the varieties Cabernet Blanc, Muscaris, and Cabertin. At that time, it was the first PIWI vineyard in Styria. The vineyards stretch from Sausal over Seggauberg and Kreuzberg in Eichberg-Trautenburg to Ried Obegg in Spielfeld. Cellar master Alexander Scherübl is a lateral thinker. For him, wine is a complete work of art. The base wines are marketed under the label Linie Trinkvergnügen, the terroir wines matured in wood are sold as Linie Nobilis, and there is also a category called Spezialitäten for special styles, while the top represents the Linie Aurum. Terroir3 stands for three vineyards and three soils. The current wines of the DAC line are all approachable and finely crafted. The Chardonnay Nobilis Ried Rettenberg impresses with its subtle use of wood and cool precision.
