This is a graceful, terroir-driven expression of Côt that will benefit from a year or two of cellaring to reveal its full potential.

BEAUVOIRS 2023 – Yohan Castaing 91+
The 2023 Chenin Beauvoirs is a pretty and ethereal wine, opening with delicate aromas of pear, peach, flowers and hints of orange oil. Medium- to full-bodied, it is seamless and suave on the palate, featuring a juicy, refined core of fruit. The finish is structured and slightly austere, a reflection of its cool, late-ripening, east-facing terroir composed of clay, silex and limestone. This is a finely chiseled, terroir-driven Chenin with quiet depth and poise.

LE CLOCHER 2023 – Yohan Castaing 92
Crafted with 15% botrytized berries yet entirely dry, the 2023 Chenin Le Clocher has turned out beautifully. It opens with a vibrant bouquet of white fruits, lemon, citrus, flowers and subtle spices. Medium- to full-bodied, satiny and seamless, it is bright and ethereal on the palate, with a long, saline finish that underscores its finesse. Vinified in barrels and matured in 10% new oak, this is a refined and delicately textured expression of dry Chenin.

TONNES BARILS 2023 – Yohan Castaing 92+
The 2023 Chenin Tonnes Barils is beautifully perfumed, bursting with aromas of white fruits, acacia, spring blossoms and delicate floral nuances. Medium- to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it offers a seamless, suave texture with a lively mid-palate that leads to a long, ethereal and perfumed finish. Less ripe than Le Clocher, it is notably more vibrant, framed by bright, energetic acidity. Sourced from south-facing vines planted on red clay soils with silex, this is a refined and expressive Chenin marked by tension and precision.

CLOS DE BEAUCE 2023 – Yohan Castaing 93
📷The 2023 Chenin Clos de Beauce is terrific, wafting from the glass with aromas of white flowers, whie fruits, spices and ripe orchard fruits intertwined with a lovely reductive profile. Medium- to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, it's delicately juicy, almost fleshy, with bright acids and delicate gastronomic bitterness on the finish. Layered and mineral, this is a real success.

BUISSON 2023 – Yohan Castaing 93
From the sole clay-limestone terroir in Bonnigal-Bodet's range, the 2023 Chenin Buisson wafts from the glass with aromas of pear, peach, spices, white lilac and confit citrus. Medium- to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's more textural than Clos de Beauce, with an unctuous core of fruit and a saline, mineral finish. It needs time to chill out.

CLOS DE BEAUCE 2015 – Grains Nobles – Yohan Castaing 93
Delicate notes of quince, honeysuckle, honey and baked pear waft from the 2015 Clos de Beauce Moelleux, a medium- to full-bodied, dense and concentrated wine. It boasts a lively, vibrant mid-palate framed by racy acidity that lends tension and energy, culminating in a long, ethereal finish. This is a real success, offering both richness and finesse in equal measure.

HUIS CLOS 2023 – Yohan Castaing 94
The 2023 Chenin Huis Clos is one of the more muscular, concentrated wines in the range, offering up aromas of ripe orchard fruits, spices, confit citrus and smoke. Medium- to full-bodied, deep and layered, it's concentrated and has a fleshy core of fruit, bright acids and a long, mineral and gently oaky finish enhanced by delicate gastronomic bitterness. Crafted from 90-year-old vines planted in 1933, this is a powerful yet precise expression of old-vine Chenin with impressive aging potential.
