The Family
The Monte Tondo vineyard nestles in the gentle hills of Soave, just a few kilometres from Verona, on a
slope overlooking the valley.
Three generations have passed down the precious art of winemaking, born from a deep love for the
land and their roots—combined with the understanding that only through hard work, passion, and
determination can the best results be achieved.
In the hills of Soave and Valpolicella, vine-grower Gino Magnabosco and his family carry on this
tradition with dedication.
Like skilled craftsmen, they meticulously oversee every phase of production, from vine to bottle,
always attentive to advancements in viticulture technology to ensure the highest quality wines that truly
represent their territory.
The Vineyards
Monte Tondo owns 25 hectares of vineyards in Soave’s finest areas—Monte Tenda, Monte Foscarino,
and Monte Tondo—plus an additional 15 hectares in Campiano, above Cazzano di Tramigna, in the
Campo Grande area, at 420–450 meters above sea level.
Some of our Garganega vines in the Soave hills are exceptionally old, ranging from 80 to over 100
years. These ancient vines yield limited but highly concentrated grapes rich in organoleptic properties.
In the Soave Classico “Casette Foscarin” area, about a quarter of the vines are "ungrafted"—not grafted
onto American rootstock—having survived the Phylloxera plague that devastated European vineyards
between the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
We have chosen to preserve these historic vineyards, cultivating them naturally in line with generations
of winemakers before us. Our organic farming respects both the environment and tradition.
The soil varies from volcanic tuff to chalky compositions, giving our wines complexity and unique
nuances across different crus. Diverse microclimates—such as the cool night winds on the Foscarin
Slavinus hills—enhance the aromatic bouquet.
From here originate our great white wines, capable of remarkable aging, while maintaining the
signature acidity and minerality of the region.
