About

Terre Cevico is a wine cooperative founded in Emilia Romagna in 1963 by a group of Romagna vinegrowers who were already organized into cooperatives, with the goal of implementing a shared strategy for grape and wine production.

Today, its 1,072 member vinegrowers cultivate approximately 3,600 hectares. Through the contribution of grapes by members, as well as vinification, bottling, and marketing, Terre Cevico now generates a turnover of €217 million.

The Group ranks among the leading wine enterprises in Italy, both in the bulk wine sector—exported to all EU countries—and in bottled wine, which is sold in more than 70 countries, particularly in Japan, the United Kingdom, Sweden, the United States, Germany, and Southeast Asian markets, with established clients and partners who provide a reliable point of reference.

MEDICI ERMETE

Italy
5.2 | E 015

Medici Ermete is a historic winery founded in 1890 in Reggio Emilia, located in the heart of the Emilia-Romagna region. For five generations, the Medici family has led the winery, making it synonymous with excellence in producing the highest quality Lambrusco.

Our winery has always been a pioneer in the world of Lambrusco production. Some milestones include:

  • Being the oldest winery in Reggio Emilia and the second oldest in the Emilia-Romagna region.
  • Producing Italy’s first single-vineyard (‘cru’) Lambrusco, Concerto, in 1994.
  • Introducing the first dry Lambrusco for export, also Concerto, in 1994.
  • Concerto is the most awarded Lambrusco in Italy (having received 3 ‘Gambero Rosso’ glasses for the 16th year in a row).

We offer a diverse portfolio of Lambrusco wines crafted with all the possible winemaking methods:

  • Charmat method
  • Traditional/Champenoise method
  • PetNat(bottle-fermented): Our PetNat Lambrusco di Sorbara, Phermento, was recently recognized as one of the best wines of 2024, ranking 12th across all categories by Wine Enthusiast.

Medici Ermete produces all the main varieties of Lambrusco (Salamino, Grasparossa, Sorbara, Marani, and Reggiano), providing distributors with a broad and comprehensive selection.

With more than 50 years of experience in exporting wine worldwide and more than 70 countries importing our products, Medici Ermete offers importers and distributors quality, efficiency, and promptness.
