In 1901, Léon GALHAUD founded Maison Galhaud, wine producer and merchant based in Saint-Emilion. The Galhaud family has been a leading player in the Bordeaux wine trade for more than 100 years with particular expertise in the export. Léon’s grand son, Jean-François Galhaud, has inherited his passion for wine and has perpetuated the family tradition through PROMOCOM before and now SCODEX Wines. He also runs with his wife Martine the Galhaud family vineyards. Besides selling the wines of the Galhaud family vineyards, SCODEX Wines regularly scout for products from among its own carefully chosen network of small and medium-sized estates and small châteaux, all of which are reputed producers of high-quality, cost-effective wines. The company’s network is not limited to Bordeaux and comprises all the other French wine producing regions including Champagne or Corsica even.
