Located in Mendoza’s renowned Uco Valley, Bodegas Salentein produces a remarkable collection of wines from vineyards planted at some of the highest elevations on the planet.
The Uco Valley’s high elevations ranging from 1,100 to 1,700 meters above sea level and different stony alluvial soils create the perfect growing conditions for world-class wines. For twenty-five years, Salentein has led the way in the study and development of the Uco Valley’s micro terroirs implementing sustainable practices that ensure continuity of quality winemaking.
Today, Salentein is the largest estate in the Uco Valley. The property is comprised of four ‘fincas’, Spanish for estates: El Oasis, La Pampa, San Pablo & El Tomillo, for a total area of more than 2.000 ha. The winery is run by a large team of expert winemakers, headed by the father of Argentinian Malbec, Jose Pepe Galante.
Salentein is the first winery in Argentina to obtain the Carbon Trust Certification. Our wines are vegan certified and the whole production process is managed completely through sustainable methods as certified by Bodegas de Argentina.
