Co-exhibitor of WINES OF PORTUGAL
Founded in 2006, Quinta do Quetzal is a privately owned estate located in Vila de Frades, in the Vidigueira sub-region of Alentejo. The property spans around 50 hectares, with vineyards planted on schist soils at the foothills of Serra do Mendro. This terroir delivers natural freshness, structure and a clear mineral character.
The gravity-flow winery is designed for minimal intervention winemaking, combining traditional knowledge with modern techniques to produce expressive terroir-driven wines that evolve with precision and respect for their origin. Vineyard work follows sustainable and regenerative farming principles, with a strong focus on soil health and long-term balance. The estate grows a selected range of Portuguese and international grape varieties, including Antão Vaz, Arinto, Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Wine maturation takes place in a calm environment, accompanied by music, reinforcing a philosophy of harmony, balance and respect for the wine. Food, contemporary art and gastronomy are central to the identity of Quinta do Quetzal, shaping wines with elegance, authenticity and strong gastronomic and international appeal.
