DOMAINE DES ROCHES DU PY
With a commitment to respect what nature has brought me. I cultivate my vines as simply and naturally as possible.
The control of yields and manual harvesting allow a selection of the harvest to obtain an optimum organoleptic quality of the grapes for vinification.
In the same way I make my wines naturally by combining tradition and modernity in order to age them according to their typicities with aging in vats, oak barrels and barrels.
The estate consists of 23 hectares,
Morgon: 18.75 hectares, "Côte du Py", "Les Charmes", "Les Grandes Cras"
Flower: 1.20 hectares, La Madone
Chiroubles: 0.45 hectares.
Beaujolais Villages: 2.60 hectares.
Owned by the Boivert family since 1764, now represented by François Boivert. Located in Couquèques on one of the best limestone subsoils in the Médoc, this vineyard, certified High Environmental Value, respects Cabernet Sauvignon, which over time produces very elegant wines that are regularly mentioned in the specialist press.
The Domaine de Ramatuelle vineyard is located a few kilometres from Brignoles, in the heart of the Coteaux Varois en Provence appellation. This small appellation, covering 2,300 hectares, forms an enclave within the Côtes de Provence vineyards and is increasingly appreciated by connoisseurs for the typicity and quality of its wines.
The estate cultivates 80 hectares of vineyards classified under the AOP Coteaux Varois en Provence and the IGP Vin de Pays du Var, along with 3 hectares of olive groves dedicated to olive oil production, and half a hectare of lavandin used for essential oil production.
Nestled at the foothills of the Sainte-Baume Massif, the estate is set within a quintessential Provençal landscape, dotted with small woods and groves, and bordered by dry-stone walls and traditional stone huts.
Located inland at an altitude of 250 metres, the vineyard benefits from a contrasted climate. The significant temperature variation between day and night brings freshness and character to the wines. Cool nights in September and October allow for pre-dawn harvesting of naturally chilled grapes, ensuring optimal macerations.
A dry summer climate combined with the regular presence of the Mistral wind is one of our greatest allies in protecting the vines from disease, allowing for limited intervention in vineyard treatments. The vines, planted on clay-limestone slopes and gentle hillsides, withstand summer drought well while fully benefiting from the generous sunshine.
