France
The future of wine is in the North! And more precisely in the North East !
In Lucey, Lorraine, France, Vincent and David Lelièvre are convinced of that. They dynamize the production of a re-emerging wine region, strategically located two hours drive from Reims (Champagne), Colmar (Alsace), Beaune (Bourgogne) et de Trier(Mosel).
aaBorn in a family where winegrowing is a tradition for centuries, they are the third generation to bottle the production. The decision of their grandfather Jean to vinificate the whole harvest in 1971 was rewarded with a gold medal in Paris. This first vintage launched the small 2 acres estate.
Today, organically, with care and passion, they grow around 50 acres (20 hectares) on several appellation:
- AOC Côtes de Toul, the first producing area on the internation Mosel valley.
- IGP Lorraine, born in 2024, this appellation validates the tradition of sparkling wines production in the region.
The Maison Lelièvre is also an extraordinary idea factory around wine et beverages. Next to the Lelièvre Wines, the two brothers, who travelled and learned in several countries before overtaking the winery, developed a range of spirits and the Lapinouze Beer. You can find them on the shelves of the wine stores and the restaurant’s wine list around the world.
aaCome and meet David on the booth and discover the production of the Maison Lelièvre!
